Services Offered
Money should not be a barrier to getting an education. My fees are more affordable than traditional writing programs to make my services available for a greater number of students and professionals. All initial discussions regarding your goals and how I can help you achieve them, in person or over email, are complimentary.
Each hour-long session is $40. Packages can be combined at a discounted total rate, and single sessions are also available for purchase. In- person sessions are limited to a 25 mile radius around Tacoma, WA. I offer a 10% military discount.
Checks are accepted for in-person sessions only, made payable to JESSICA PEYTON.
Consultations are complimentary. Payment is due in full before the first session.
General Writing Tutoring - $40 / session
Available for grade school, high school, college, and graduate students, these sessions are aimed at helping the client improve his or her overall writing skills. Objectives can be as specific as help on a term paper, or as broad as developing a mature writing voice.
College Applications Process - $200
5 session package including consultation, forming a strategy for applications, and writing an application essay template. Emphasis on how to write a strong paper which personalizes the application. The last two sessions will be devoted to rewrites and helping the client understand how to tailor the template to submit for various applications.
Graduate School Applications Process - $200
5 session package including consultation, forming a strategy for applications, and writing an application essay template. The last two sessions will be devoted to rewrites and helping the client understand how to tailor the template to submit for various applications. Extra attention is given to how to prepare the details graduate school's admissions committees look for.
Scholarship Applications Process - $120
3 session package including consultation, forming a strategy about which scholarships to apply for, and writing a strong essay that demonstrates real financial need or scholarly merit.
Grant or Fellowship Applications Process - $120-$200
Option of 3-5 session package, including consultation, picking grants or fellowships to apply for, and writing an essay that makes clear the necessity of your project. Scholars who communicate their ideas in a detailed yet succinct manner are the ones receiving awards, because selection committees understand exactly what their money is funding.
Professional Writing Package - $120-$200
Option of 3-5 session package where client can choose to receive assistance on a specific project, or receive more general writing guidance to enhance their job applications. Hiring managers are looking for employees with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate ideas in writing.
